   Big Brow (USA) - Vitória Firme no Kentucky Derby Gr.1  

Churchill Downs (USA), 03 maio 2008. Com muita classe, Big Brow (USA) M.3a Boundary e Mien por Nureyev, venceu a 134ª edição do tradicional Kentucky Derby Gr.1, em 2.000m, pista de areia. Pilotado por Kent J. Desormeaux, marcou o tempo de 2´01"82.

Na partida, tomou a ponta Bob Black Jack (Stormy Jack), seguido por Cowboy Cat (Giant´s Causeway), Recapturetheglory (Cherokee Run), Cool Coal Man (Mineshaft), Eights Belle e o vencedor, bem próximos aos ponteiros (4 corpos). Na reta oposta, poucas alterações, mas se via o progresso do vencedor, já na grande curva. No tiro direto, Big Brown entrou na ponta, não dando nenhuma chance aos seus adversários, livrando 4 3/4 no disco de chegada. Eight Belles, que entrou entre os ponteiros na reta, chegou em segundo. Denis of Cork, atropelou junto aos paus e tomou o terceiro lugar. Completaram o placar : Tale of Ekati , Recapturetheglory.

Uma vitória firme e autoritária, de um cavalo invicto. Brilhou o sangue de Danzig (USA) e Nureyev (USA), Damascus e Roberto.
